Dzogchen
The Treasury of the Fundamental Nature
Longchenpa, with the Buddha-Nature works
Why it matters
Luminous Nyingma and Dzogchen teachings pointing directly to the innate, pristine, non-dual expanse of the awakened mind.
The tradition behind it
Dzogchen, the Great Perfection, is a Tibetan tradition that points to the natural, already-awake state of awareness. Rather than building something new, practice is recognising what is already present and resting in it.
Try it in practice
- Look at what is looking
Without moving the eyes, notice the awareness that is looking. It has no shape, no colour, no edge, and it is not troubled. Stay for a few seconds.
- Open awareness, no support
Let attention widen to include the room, the sounds, the body, and the trouble at once. Rest as that open field rather than as the one holding it.
