Privacy, in plain words
Your troubles are yours
Last updated November 4, 2026.
- What is stored
- Your account (email and name), and the dialogues you start: your words, the friend's replies, and the insight and practice saved at the end.
- Who can read it
- Your dialogues and journal are private to your account. The app's access rules let only you, and the site administrator for support and safety, read them.
- How replies are made
- To write a reply, your message and the recent dialogue are sent to an AI language model through the platform the app is built on (Base44). The reply is then saved to your dialogue.
- Deleting
- You can delete any dialogue from your Journal. Deleting it removes the dialogue and all of its messages.
- Visits
- Like most websites, the site records basic visit information (pages viewed, device type, approximate country) to understand how it is used.
- Not therapy
- The friend is not a clinician. If something you write suggests you may be in danger, it will point you to people who can help, such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
